BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The third period proved to be Fredonia's undoing for the second straight night.
A 3-0 loss to the Brockport Golden Eagles dropped the Blue Devils to 0-4-2 in the SUNYAC. They are 1-5-3 overall.
Brockport did all its scoring in the third period -- just as Geneseo had done to defeat the Blue Devils 3-0 on Friday.
Jeff Flagler (Owen Sound, Ont.) was the Fredonia goaltender for the second straight night. He stopped all 28 shots in the first two periods, then let in a pair of goals in the third. The last Brockport goal was scored into an empty net.

Jared Wynia (Calgary, Alberta) nearly broke the scoreless tie early in the third period, only to have his shot clang off the post behind Brockport goaltender Aaron Green. Moments later, Brockport's Chris Luker hit a post behind Flagler.
The Golden Eagles finally broke through at 4:38 of the final period.when Aiden Verbeke picked up a rebound and scored following a toe save by Flagler. Ryan Kangas made it 2-0 at 18:45 before Jesse Fachini scored into an empty net.
Brockport's Green was credited with 22 saves to post his second shutout in as many nights. The Golden Eagles improved to 6-5-1 overall, 3-3-1 in the conference. Flagler finished with 42 saves.
Fredonia closes out its regular season at home next Friday vs. Johnson & Wales.
