ALFRED, N.Y. -- Fredonia fell to Alfred University, 80-69, in men's college basketball action Tuesday.
The Blue Devils fell to 1-2 in the early season. The Saxons improved to 4-1.
Alexander Grace led Fredonia with 12 points while Tyree Hull and
Robert Lyles had 11 points each. Hull was also credited with three steals while
Tremaine Shelton blocked three shots.
Jerry Kincel had 17 points for the Saxons, who led 30-28 at halftime. They eventually opened a lead of 17 points midway through the second half.
Fredonia's largest lead was seven points midway through the first half.
The Blue Devils begin SUNYAC competition this weekend with road games at Oswego and Cortland.Â
