FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Penn State Behrend improved to 6-0 with a 71-48 non-conference road win Wednesday over Fredonia in college men's basketball.
Zane Hackett dropped 21 points on accurate shooting -- 8 of 10 from the field and 5 of 5 from line -- while Nick DeLisio had 17 points, including 4 of 5 from three-point range.
Ian Helps (Bronx, N.Y./Greater New York Academy) led Fredonia with 14 points and eight rebounds. He closed out the first semester averaging 14.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
The Blue Devils fell to 1-5.
It was the first home game of the season for Fredonia, yet it was Behrend which made itself feel at home in the first half. The Lions were 15 of 25 (60 percent) from the field in the first half to grab a 38-27 lead.
The Blue Devils were unable to make signinficant inroads into their deficit and were outscored 33-27 in the second half.
Following a break in the schedule, the Blue Devils return to action Jan. 6 when they play host to Geneseo in a SUNYAC game.
