Tori Poffenberger took over the women's lacrosse team in 2022.
In Poffenberger's first season, the Blue Devils posted their highest win percentage since 2016 with a 6-11 record. The regular season saw three SUNYAC Athletes of the Week, five players finish in the Top 10 in SUNYAC statistical categories, as well as multiple players breaking into the Top 10 spots in the record books for single season and career records at Fredonia State.
Poffenberger had a very successful playing career at St. Mary's College. Following her senior season, she was an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee, Second team All-America, First Team All-Chesapeake Region, and First Team Capital Athletic Conference. She also made the Dean's List every semester and served as a SAAC rep for three years.
Poffenberger hopes to return the Fredonia State team to the national scene. The Devils made the NCAA Tournament in 2012, 2014, and 2015.
