Nicole Bullock was named head coach of the Fredonia State women’s basketball program in September 2026, bringing more than 15 years of coaching and leadership experience across NCAA Division II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, and high school basketball. She arrives in Fredonia after five seasons as head women’s basketball coach and athletics travel coordinator at Hilbert College, where she directed all aspects of the Hawks’ NCAA Division III program. Her teams made three Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference playoff appearances, including a 2023 trip to the AMCC Final Four, hosted a first-round playoff game in 2022, and produced the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year. Her program also maintained a 100 percent student-athlete graduation rate.
Before Hilbert, Bullock spent two seasons as head women’s basketball coach and game day administrator at Presentation College in South Dakota, leading the NAIA program while teaching the Theory of Coaching Basketball course. She coached the North Star Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year and multiple all-conference and scholar-athlete selections, again sustaining a 100 percent graduation rate.
Bullock previously served four seasons as head women’s basketball coach at Iowa Lakes Community College, directing all recruiting, training, scouting, and community outreach for the NJCAA Division II program. Her teams produced five All-Region XI honorees and numerous academic award recipients. Her collegiate coaching background also includes three seasons as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Adams State College, where the program achieved its best NCAA Division II era record (23–10), earned back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, reached its first Sweet Sixteen, and developed a WBCA Division II All-American Honorable Mention. Adams State also led NCAA Division II in rebounding margin for two straight seasons.
Beyond the college ranks, Bullock has held leadership roles at the youth and high school levels, including work as scholarship coordinator, coach, and tournament site supervisor for Minnesota Heat, and head varsity coaching positions at Irondale High School (Minnesota) and Kearny High School (California).
A native of the Midwest, Bullock earned her Master of Arts in Kinesiology/Biomechanics from San Diego State University, where she served as a teaching and graduate assistant in the biomechanics laboratory. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Southwest Minnesota State University, where she was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team, team captain, three-time NSIC Academic All-Conference selection, and helped lead the program to two conference championships and two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.
