Biography
Cam Sample has emerged as one of the premier jumpers in the SUNYAC and one of the top long jumpers in the nation. A two-time SUNYAC champion and NCAA Division III All-American, Sample has steadily risen through the conference and national ranks across sprint and jump events. Sample’s junior season in 2024–25 marked a breakout year. He captured both the SUNYAC Indoor and SUNYAC Outdoor titles in the long jump, highlighted by a lifetime-best leap of 7.36m (24' 1.75") at the Rochester Spring Twilight. He later earned NCAA Division III All-America honors, finishing 4th in the nation with a mark of 7.33m (24' 0.75"). His performance earned him recognition as the Fredonia State Male Athlete of the Year.Â
In 2023–24, Sample solidified his presence as a top SUNYAC contender when he opened the indoor season with a personal best in the 300m before posting career marks in both the long jump and triple jump. His indoor campaign included a runner-up finish in the long jump at the SUNYAC Championships and a top-five finish in the triple jump.
