Brandon Butts

Brandon Butts joined the Fredonia Blue Devil men's coaching staff in January 2017 after completing his playing eligibility the previous fall.

Butts played for Fredonia in 2010 and returned to the team in 2016. The central defender scored three goals -- including game-winners at Cortland in 2010 and at Nazareth in 2016 -- and was selected to the 2016 SUNYAC Men’s All-Tournament Team, He was also chosen Fredonia Athlete of the Week on Sept. 19, 2016,

Prior to attending Fredonia, Butts played two seasons at Mohawk Valley Community College and tallied 57 points. He was selected to NJCAA Region 3 First Team in 2008 for the eighth-ranked MVCC squad. 

A native of Schenevus, N.Y., Butts scored a school-record 46 goals one season at Charlotte Valley Central School. He also set the school's high jump record by clearing 6 feet, 4 inches.

A dean’s list student, Butts earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Fredonia in 2016. He is responsible for team management during the spring season, recruitment, alumni relations, the team's spring identification camp/high school indoor tournament, and marketing of summer youth soccer camp.
