John Cullen joined the Blue Devil coaching staff before the start of the 2013-14 season. A native of Hamburg, N.Y., Cullen played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Niagara IceDogs (2008-09), the Kingston Frontenacs (2008-10), the Sarnia Sting (2010-11), and the Windsor Spitfires (2010-12) and part of one season (2012-13) for the University of Western Ontario.

Although he was undrafted, he was invited to participate in the 2011 Buffalo Sabres Summer Development Camp. In addition to his current coaching duties, Cullen serves as color commentator of Windsor Spitfires' broadcasts on radio station CKLW (800 AM).
