Matt joined the Fredonia staff for the 2013 season. This past season, he mentored two First-Team All SUNYAC pitchers in Sean Larson and Kyle Grey. Larson was also named the Fredonia Male Athlete of the Year.

In addition to working with the pitchers, Bowman serves as the team's strength and conditioning coordinator and oversees community service projects. He has also incorporated the team's academic monitoring system.
Prior to his hire, Bowman was awarded the Prechtl Scholarship for his work as an intern in the sports information department and his volunteer service in coordinating events. His outstanding work led to the creation of his current position.

He graduated with a degree in Sports Management. He attended Horseheads High School and is a native of Breesport, N.Y.
