Personal: Full name: Alyssa Maree Piniewski ... daughter of Cherlynn and George "Buzz" Piniewski ... twin sister Amber has been a teammate since the girls were 5-years-old... cites her parents as her greatest influence "because they signed me up for softball when I was five and always continue to support me on and off the field." ... majoring in Childhood Inclusive Education ...  dean's list every semester, SUNYAC Academic Honor Roll, National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete award recipient ... 2017 graduate of Orchard Park (N.Y.) High School, where her coach was Brittany Schermerhorn ... also played volleyball ... her most memorable high school sports moment: "I got pulled up to varsity when I was a sophomore and got to experience winning a state championship in softball." ... member of the West Seneca Magic travel program ... National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society ... chose Fredonia because of the campus size, the Education major, and "it's the perfect distance from home ...  I knew I wanted to play softball here because of how dedicated Coach Ciccarello is to his players as well as his recruits."
