ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fredonia State placed 11th in the team standings at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, led by junior Steve Hallberg, who crossed 30th overall in 26:23.9 for eight kilometers over the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails.
Hallberg paced a seven‑man Blue Devil lineup that included Lucas Peterson‑Volz (50th, 26:49.7), Edward Jourdan (53rd, 26:53.5), Finn Fadale (102nd, 27:57.9), and Sean Moser (104th, 27:59.2) as the scoring five. Kaden Worthley (107th, 27:59.9) and Adam Rick (179th, 29:25.1) completed the top seven as displacers.
The men's 8K featured 231 finishers, with Roberts Wesleyan's Ethan Matthews winning in 24:52.1. Fredonia State totaled 279 points for its top‑10 finish in a deep regional field.
Next up, the Blue Devils host the Kara Hall Memorial on Friday, Oct. 2, on the Fredonia State campus, one of two home meets this season along with the NCAA Niagara Regional on Nov. 14.
