ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Junior Stephen Hallberg paced the Fredonia State men's cross country team Saturday with a 59th-place finish as the Blue Devils placed 11th at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park. Fredonia compiled 289 team points against a deep 17-team field won by SUNY Geneseo.

Hallberg covered the 8-kilometer course in 26:54.9, leading a tightly packed Fredonia scoring group. Junior Edward Jourdan followed in 68th place with a time of 27:10.2, while junior Lucas Peterson-Volz crossed the line 81st in 27:26.0. Freshman Finnegan Fadale added an 88th-place finish in 27:31.9, and senior Kevin Moser rounded out the Blue Devils' scoring five in 127th place with a time of 28:25.3.

Sophomore Sean Moser finished sixth among Fredonia runners, placing 135th overall in 28:32.8, while sophomore Kaden Worthley was close behind in 141st place at 28:39.4.

SUNY Geneseo claimed the team title with 24 points, placing five runners among the top 12 finishers. Geneseo's Collin Brown won the individual championship in 25:14.3.
