NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 94-69 at New Paltz on Saturday. The Devils were led by
Christian Williams with 17 points and six rebounds.
Stevie Williams added 14 points and five assists, and
Ethan Sokolowski and
Martin Garza had 10 points apiece.
Christian Williams nailed a three early on to put Fredonia State up 14-9. New Paltz would then take control of the game scoring 23 consecutive points to go up 32-14. New Paltz would end the half with a 24-point lead and cruise to the victory.
The Hawks (11-11 / 9-6 SUNYAC) were paced by LaMar Mathews with 30 points and Isaiah Rivera with 24. For the game, New Paltz nailed 61 percent of its shots, going 38-62.
The Devils (2-18 / 2-11 SUNYAC) are back home next weekend, playing host to Potsdam and Plattsburgh.
