FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team picked up its second win in as many games, taking their home opener over Alfred U. by a 14-4 count.
Katie O'Brien had three goals and two assists, and
Kiera Young had two goals and two assists to pace the offense.
Jessica Kowalski and
Ashleigh Manns split time in goal. Kowalski had one save and gave up one score, and Manns had six saves giving up three scores.
The Devils dominated the first half, taking a 9-1 lead into the break. Things slowed down a bit in the second half, but the Devils still outscored their opponents, 5-3.
Rylee Bennett,
Piper Evangelist, and
Leah Kunisch all had two-goal games.
Next up for the Devils is a trip to Westminster on Wednesday.
