FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The SUNYAC Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet takes place in Brockport this Friday and Saturday. Fredonia State has four athletes -- two men and two women -- ranked No.1 in their respective events. They have three other athletes ranked second, as well as a number of others in the Top 10.
Freshman
Yauvani Liddelow is tops in the triple jump, while senior
Cara Pellechia sits atop the pole vault rankings for the fourth year in a row. For the men,
Talon Rowland is top ranked in the 400m and
Jordan Lockett has turned in the best 200m time this season.
"I am very excited for this weekends conference meet," said head coach
Tom Wilson. "Our team is very young, we have a large group of freshmen making their first championship debut. The team scores will be tight on both sides, if a few things go the Blue Devils way the men could finish second this year. The goal of this year's meet is to bring home as many medals as possible, finishing in the top three and becoming all conference."
