FREDONIA, N.Y. --
Cash Anderson scored his third goal of the season to get the scoring started for the Fredonia State men's hockey team en route to a 3-1 victory over visiting Morrisville on Saturday. Anderson -- who scored a goal in Friday's win over Cortland -- also added an assist.
Owen Cross and
Luke Morris also scored for the Blue Devils.
Anderson struck at the 15:55 mark of the first period with assists from
Hudson Cameron and
Owen Arnold.
Two late-second-period goals put Fredonia State up 3-0. Cross scored at the 18:28 mark, and Morris at 19:04. Cross was assisted by
Antoine St. Onge and
Mathieu Fournier, with Anderson aiding Morris on his score.
Charles-Anthony Barbeau lost his bid for a shutout about five minutes into the third period when Morrisville's Zach Nicholls found the back of the net. Barbeau would finish with 36 saves.
Will Goumas had 32 stops on 35 shots for the Mustangs.
Fredonia State was 0-3 on power plays, and Morrisville went 0-2.
The Mustangs fall to 2-14-2 overall and 1-8-2 in SUNYAC play.
The Devils (3-12-1 / 3-7-1 SUNYAC) play host to Brockport on Tuesday.
