ERIE, Pa. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team went 1-3 in its season-opening tournament at Penn State Behrend on Friday and Saturday. They claimed a 3-1 win over Geneva, and dropped matches to Bluffton (3-1), Behrend (3-0), and Thiel (3-1).
Kylie O'Brien led the team with 27 kills, and
Bella Maloney had 17. The top playmakers were
Molly Cassidy (47 assists),
Payton Stoddard (25), and
Olivia Boswell (22).
Maeve Musielak had 10 aces.
Bria Hunter led the defense with five blocks, while
Kailea Sullivan had 54 digs.
The Devils home opener is a rematch vs. Thiel on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
