FREDONIA, N.Y. -- And just like that, we are setting our sights on the fall with the Fredonia State men's soccer team is unveiling its 2025 schedule. The Devils will open the campaign on Aug. 29th at Penn State Harrisburg, then take on New Jersey City Univeristy at a neutral site at Buffalo State the next day. The Home Opener is on Tuesday, Sept. 2 vs. SUNY Geneseo.
The weekend of Sept. 5-6, both the men's and women's teams will play host to the annual two-day Blue Devil Classic. The men's team will take on Alfred University and Bryant & Stratton. Buffalo State will be the fourth team in for the men.
Alfred State, Houghton, and Nazareth will be the remaining non-conference games, all road contests. Alfred State will join the SUNYAC in 2026 as a conference opponent, but this season will count as non-conference.
Home SUNYAC games consist of Plattsburgh, Oneonta, Cortland, Morrisville, and Oswego. The Devils hit the road for conference matchups at Canton, New Paltz, Buffalo State, and Potsdam.
"Our 2025 non-conference schedule will be quite challenging as preparation for the always rigorous SUNYAC campaign," said head coach PJ Gondek. "Our opening match at Penn State Harrisburg will likely set the tone for the season and we always look forward to hosting the Blue Devil Classic at University Stadium the following weekend. We face a number of Empire Eight teams who had solid seasons in 2024 and Alfred State who will be a new addition to our conference for 2026. The SUNYAC never disappoints in competitiveness and hosting Plattsburgh to open up the schedule will be massive. Ultimately, it will be imperative to take advantage of a favorable home game stretch in securing a playoff berth with four of our last five games at University Stadium."
