FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Sophomore defender Ryan Ameis was named the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. He was instrumental in the team's 1-0 post-season win at Plattsburgh. 

In addition to his usual steady defense that resulted in the team's sixth shutout of the year, Ameis was able to score the game's only goal on a header off a corner kick. It was his fourth goal of the season. 

The Devils advance in the SUNYAC Tournament with a Wednesday game at Buffalo State.
