FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team trailed by four points late in the second half, but could not close the gap any further in a 66-54 loss to Oswego on Friday evening.
Brandon Kulakowski led the Devils with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The Devils played solid ball the first period, and would lead 31-30 at the half. The Devils enjoyed their biggest lead of the game 25-17, following a layup by
Ethan Sokolowski at the 6:06 mark.
Oswego scored eight-straight points coming out of the break to take the lead for good.
The Lakers were paced by Xavier Allen with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ahkee Anderson pitched in 16 points.
The men are back home on Saturday with a 4 p.m. tip off vs. Canton. The seniors will be honored before the game.
