ERIE, Pa. -- Abby Szymkowiak did not allow a goal, and Grace Mackey and Katie Sellers each scored as the Fredonia State women' soccer team dropped the Franciscan Barons, 2-0, at the Penn State Behrend Classic on Sunday.

Szymkowiak made four saves as the Devils evened their season record to 1-1.  Franciscan falls to 0-2.

Mackey scored her first goal of the season with 1:38 left in the first half. Jenna Hewitt made the assist.

Sellers used an assist from Gabby Irwin to make it a 2-0 game in the 58th minute of play.

The Devils outshot the Barons, 18-17, including a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. 

Next up for the Devils is the Blue Devil Classic on Sept. 6-7. The Devils play host to Utica on Friday, and Houghton on Saturday. Both the men's and women's teams will participate in the tournament.
