CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State baseball team dropped it season finale, 13-2, at Cortland on Saturday.
Cortland scored three in the second inning and two in the third, and would lead 5-0 heading into the sixth. A groundout by Fredonia State's
Tyler Curtis, and a double by
Andrew Tucker made it a 5-2 ballgame.
Cortland responded with a five run bottom half of the inning, and would tack on a run in the seventh and the eighth innings.
Tucker had two hits for the Blue Devils.
Garrett Stuckey added a double, his team-leading 12th of the season.
Peyton Ahlstrom took the loss. After five solid innings, he would surrender five in the sixth. Nate O'Brochta and
Lucas Mirti finished the game on the mound.
Cortland wins the SUNYAC regular-season title, going 16-2 in the conference, and 28-10-1 overall.
Fredonia State finishes at 3-15 and 13-23 overall.
