ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Cam Sample continued his strong season on Friday, finishing fourth overall in the long jump at the Niagara Regional Meet. Sample jumped 6.95m (22' 9 3/4''). His leap was shy of the 7.04m (23' 1 1/4'') that he turned in last week at the SUNYAC Championships where he was the runner up.
Cara Pellechia, the SUNYAC Champion in the pole vault, cleared 3.30m (10' 10''), good enough for 12th place. Senior
Haley Lerner was 15th with a height of 3.15m (10' 4'').
Jacob Winn ran in the prelims of the 60m dash, but did not advance. Winn turned in a time of 7.42 seconds.
Winn and Sample will compete Saturday in the 4x200 relay, along with
Nick Marsowicz and
Jordan Lockett.
Sembel Koshi will compete in the mile.
