FREDONIA N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team took on Jamestown Community College in an exhibition game just before the Christmas Break on Saturday, and came away with a 74-48 victory.
Grace Alexander led the Devils with 18 points and five assists, and
Allie Wandell added eight points and 12 rebounds.
In a balanced Blue Devil attack,
Kaylyn Sweeney added nine points, and
Jayssa Snelick and
Alexys Neckers added eight apiece.
Jamestown was led by Mbali Mhlanga with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Myla Truit had 14 points.
The Devils shot out to an early 20-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Because JCC is a two-year school, the game does not count on either team's record. The Devils had picked up the game after canceling a contest vs. Chatham due to a bus issues.
The Devils are off until January.
