KEUKA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State volleyball team downed Keuka Collee, 3-1, on Friday in one of the most competitive matches of the season. After easily winning the first set 25-14, the next three went extras. Keuka won the second set, 27-25, and Fredonia State took the next two by identical 26-24 scores.
Amaya Lewczyk and
Maeve Musielak led the team with 11 kills apiece. As a team, they had 15 aces, led by Erin Callahna with four, and
Kylie O'Brien and Musielakwith three each. The offense ran through
Olivia Boswell to the tune of 39 assists.
Defensively, Boswell had 16 digs and Callahan had four blocks. Fredonia State improves to 12-16, while Keuka falls to 7-18.
The Devils wrap up their home season tomorrow with a 1 p.m. contest vs. Hilbert. It will be Senior Day for the Blue Devils.
