Riley See scored 22 seconds into the third period to beak a 1-1 tie, and it would prove to be the game-winning goal for Fredonia State who topped Hamilton, 2-1, at the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational on Saturday.
Jameson Kaine made 31 saves for the Blue Devils to earn the win.
Hamilton scored an even-strength goal just over 13 minutes into the first period.
The Devils would tie the game in the second period on their only power-play opportunity of the game. Hamilton's Alex Danos was called for tripping at 15:05. At 41 seconds into the 5-on-4,
Ryan Bailey scored his team-leading sixth goal of the year. He was assisted by
Antoine St. Onge and
Luke Morris.
See's game-winner would be assisted by St. Onge and and Bailey. St. Onge now leads the team with six assists, and Bailey and Morris each have four assists apiece.
The win improves Kaine's record to 3-1 on the season. Askel Reed made 21 saves for Hamilton, now 3-2.
Tomorrow, the Devils (3-7) will take on Lake Forest at 4 p.m. in the Championship Game of the Skidmore Tournament. Lake Forest (Ill.) beat Skidmore, 5-4, in the other game of the tournament.
