MORRISVILLE, N.Y. -- It took over 84 minutes for the Blue Devils to get on the board in what was a must win for the Fredonia State men's soccer team, but they would pull away with a 2-0 victory at Morrisville on Wednesday. The win puts the Devils in the sixth-and-final playoff spot with one conference game left to play.
Chance LaCroix used an assist from
Kye Castelluccio to break a 0-0 tie with 5:09 left to play. It was LaCroix's fourth goal. Three minutes later,
Carson Teijeira scored his fifth goal of the season to lock up the win.
Brian Taylor assisted.
Jack Phelan recorded the shutout making one save.
The Blue Devils play their final regular season game of the season Saturday in Oneonta.
