POTSDAM, N.Y. --
Malik Jemison scored the game-winning basket with two seconds on the clock as the Fredonia State men's basketball team earned a 70-69 victory at Potsdam on Saturday. Jemison would finish the game with team-highs of 16 points, five assists, and four steals.
The Devils overcame a 10-0 run by Potsdam to open the game, and would trail by four at halftime, 41-37.
The Devils would finally pull even with the hosts when
Tyrese Fuller converted a layup with 11 minutes left, tying the game at 55-all. A layup by
Keenan Roberts Jr. on the next possession gave Fredonia State its first lead. Neither team would lead by more than five points the rest of the way.
Fuller would finish the game with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Roberts added 12 points.
Potsdam was led by Isaac Oduro, Jr. with 16 points and Kawar SIngh with 13 points and 20 rebounds. The Bears outrebounded the Devils, 51-44. They shot 4-25 from three-point range, while the Devils hit on 5-23 long range jumpers.
The Devils made only 11 trips to the foul line, shooting 5-11. Potsdam was 25-30 from the charity stripe
Potsdam falls to 2-9 overall and 1-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Devils (5-5, 2-1 SUNYAC) travel to Geneseo on Tuesday.
