FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State baseball team dropped a 12-1 game to Brockport at Ludwig Field on Friday.
Tyler Curtis banged out three hits, including a double, to lead the Devils.
After a scoreless first inning, Brockport scored one in the second, two in the third, four in the fourth, and three in the fifth, building a 10-1 lead.
Fredonia State scored its only run in the fourth. With the bases loaded,
Garrett Stuckey walked to force in the first run. The Devil rally was quashed after an infield popup and a double-play ball.
Nate O'Brochta took the loss, going five innings and surrendering nine earned.
Nathan Zicari provided solid relief, giving up two runs -- one earned -- in four innings of work.
Adam Douglas took the win for the Golden Eagles. He tossed five-plus innings, and surrendered the lone run. Nate Ianiello earned a four-inning save without allowing a run.
The same two teams face off tomorrow at Noon for a SUNYAC doubleheader.
