BOXSCORE FREDONIA N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season today, falling to Allegheny College by a final score of 14-7 in their home opener.
Julie Culver would lead Fredonia State with three goals,
Erin Woods would chip in two goals. Players
Audrey Brown and
Sydney Buchko each would score once.
Allegheny was lead by Senna Perelman who scored six goals with Lauren Petrarca adding five goals.Â
To start the game, the Gators would jump out to a two score lead with three minutes left to play in the first. A Buchko goal would get the Devils on the board but Allegheny would work fast and score two straight goals to close out the first quarter up 4-1.
The Gators would add to their lead going into the half up 7-3.Â
Fredonia State found a rhythm on offense with Culver and Brown scoring three straight goals halfway through the third quarter. However, Allegheny's Perelman and Jenna Cassani would manage to score three for the Gators allowing Allegheny to maintain their four goal lead heading into the fourth.Â
The Gators would continue their scoring assault with four straight goals and would milk the clock to close out the rest of the game.

Emily Carr would finish the day with 11 saves.
Fredonia State moves to 3-1 on the season and will host Keuka College Wednesday, March 8 at 4 p.m.
