NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Six members of the Fredonia State Men's and Women's Track team qualified for the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field (AARTF)Â Meet in eight different events. The meet will be held in New York City at The Armory on Friday and Saturday.
Cara Pellechia was the lone Blue Devil SUNYAC Champion at last week's conference meet, winning the pole vault. The goal is to improve upon her personal best and SUNYAC-winning height of 3.40m (11' 1 ¾'').
Four men will compete in the 4 x 400 relay.
Nick Marsowicz,
Nick Abdo,
Toby Onuoha, and
Josh Walters. The group was third at the SUNYAC Meet in 3:21.25. They were three seconds off the pace at the conference meet.
Both Abdo and Onuoha will compete in two other events. Abdo in the 60m and 200m dashes where he finished in the top six in both events at SUNYACs, and Onuoha in the triple jump and the 400m. Walters will compete in the 800m in addition to the aforementioned relay.
Patrick Klinger will compete in the mile.
