Fredonia State Athletics Weekend Schedule

TRACK AND FIELD – 
The Blue Devil Track & Field teams will participate in a pair of meets this weekend. A portion of the team will head to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University, and another group will make the trip to RIT. 

Last Event
Here's a look at the top finishers from last week's event at Brockport. 

TRACK 
Josh Walters, third, 800m run, 1:56.69
Kyle Campbell, second, 5000m,16:05.17
Ted Tomasello, third, 5000m, 16:07.67

FIELD
Toby Onuoha, fourth, high jump 1.86 
Cara Pellechia took third place in the pole vault, she cleared 3.05m in the vault.

LACROSSE – 
The Lacrosse team kicks off the start of its season vs. Daemen University with a scrimmage at Sahlen's Sports Park in Elma, N.Y. This will be the first chance to see the new-look Blue Devils under new head coach Tori Poffenberger. The scrimmage will start at 12:30 p.m.  


HOCKEY – 
Hockey hits the road this Friday at Brockport before returning home to host No. 4 ranked Geneseo Saturday. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. for both games. 

Previously on the Ice
The Blue Devils defeated Brockport, 1-0, in their SUNYAC matchup earlier this season. Brockport won a non-SUNYAC contest, 4-2. The matchup vs. Geneseo on Dec. 3 resulted in a 4-0 win for the Knights.

Playoff Picture
The Blue Devils are currently in sixth place with nine points, holding the edge for the final SUNYAC playoff spot. Morrisville State and Potsdam trail them with seven points. Fredonia State has four conference games yet to play.


BASKETBALL – 
Fredonia State women's & men's basketball hit the road this weekend to play Friday, Feb. 10 against Plattsburgh at 5:30 & 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at Potsdam at 2 & 4:00 p.m.  

Previously on the Court
Both Blue Devil women's & men's teams picked up wins against Buffalo State last Saturday. The Fredonia State women would win by a score 55-38 and the men won 93-82.

Scouting Opponents
The last time Fredonia State played Plattsburgh, the women's team beat the Cardinals 60-57, and the men would come up just short, 78-74. Against Potsdam, both squads would fall -- 62-55 for the women & 74-63 for the men.
