FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team opens its season at Grove City today. Expectations are hightened after a strong pre-season that saw the Devils put together a pair of strong performances against a pair of Division II programs. First-year head coach Tori Poffenberger will lean on eight seniors in her first go-round for the Devils.

Three of the team's top four scorers return, including senior Erin Woods who scored 24 goals. Senior Julie Culver (10 G, 7 A) and junior Sydney Buchko (10 G, 1 A)  will add to the offense.
