BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State hockey team fell 5-4 to Brockport in overtime on Friday evening. Brockport started the overtime with a power play and took advantage of it, getting the game winner from Connor Galloway.
With five seconds left in regulation, the Devils were whistled for a checking from behind. The resulting infraction gave the Golden EagleS a 4-on-3 advantage in the extra frame.
The Devils received goals in from
Ryan Bailey,
Bryce Witman,
Gregg Lee, and
Jake Blackwell. Six other players accounted for the team's six assists.
Logan Dyck made 28 saves in goal for Fredonia State, while Aiden Curry made 38 stops for Brockport.
The Devils took a 2-0 lead after one period. Brockport would tie the game at 2-all. The Devils held leads fof 3-2 and 4-3, and the Golden Eagles would tie the game each time.
