PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest at Plattsburgh on Saturday. Nora Fitzgerald scored for the Cardinals in the 38th minute for the game-winning goal.

Fredonia State goalie Abby Szymkowiak made nine saves for the Blue Devils. Plattsburgh held a 23-14 edge in shots, and 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Bri Grazen, Maddie Payne, and Gabby Irwin had shots on goal for the Devils.

Plattsburgh had eight corner kicks compared to seven by the Devils.

The Devils fall to 2-3-1 in the SUNYAC and 5-5-2 overall. Plattsburgh moves to 2-1-2 in the conference and 4-4-3 overall.
