FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Junior AJ Knight fell one assist short of a triple-double, and could not prevent a 78-74 loss to Plattsburgh on Saturday. Knight accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Teammate Aaron Collins added 24 points that included 6-10 shooting from long range. Matt Aebersold added 10 points.

Plattsburgh built up a 10-point lead, 43-33, by the half. They led for much of the second half until the Devils tied the game with 6:40 left to play. A three pointer by Aebersold tied the game at 68.

On the ensuing possession, a layup by Malik Jemison gave the Devils their first lead since early in the first half. Jemison's layup capped a 10-2 run.

Plattsburgh re-took the lead before Aebersold would score on a fast break to tie the game at 74 with 1:25 left to play. 

Plattsburgh scored on its next two possessions to capture the win.

The Cardinals were Myles Jones with 19 points and Kevin Tabb with 14.

The Devils travel to Buffalo State next Friday.
