BOXSCORE MEADVILLE, P.A. --- The Fredonia State Women's Volleyball Team (1-9, 0-0 SUNYAC) dropped a 3-1 decision to the host of the Allegheny Gator Classic, Allegheny College (7-7, overall) on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Devils' set scores were 25-22, 14-25, 17-25 and 16-25.
Fredonia State opened up the match with a 12-5 lead over the Gators, that they held for the entirety of the first set. Allegheny battled back to bring the score to 23-22, but Eric Callahan recorded two kills in a row to close out the first set and give the Devils their only victory of the match.
The home team was in complete control over the last three sets, combining for 32 kills on 84 attempts. The Gators held Fredonia State to 22 kills on 91 attempts.
Gabrielle Sordetto led Fredonia State with ten kills, while
Gabrielle Chilcott recorded eight, and Callahan tallied seven kills.
Kourtney Krchniak was dominate on both sides of the ball recording a team-high 28 assists and 9 digs.
Kailea Sullivan recorded a team-high with 11 digs of her own.
The Blue Devils look to get back on track Wednesday, for their first SUNYAC matchip of the season against Buffalo State.
