ERIE, PA -- The Fredonia State Women's Soccer Team traveled to the Franciscan Barons Saturday night looking to seek the first win of the season. But managed to fall short in a close game against the Barons, with the final score being 3-2.

The Franciscan Barons scored at the 20:19 mark of the first half, to give them the lead.

The Blue Devils later scored at the 28:56 mark with the goal by Katie Sellers, assisted by junior Bri Grazen being the first goal of the season.

The Barons managed to score twice at the 53:15 and 53:18 mark to put them up by 2 with 30 minutes left in the 2nd half.

Late in the 2nd half, midfielder Ashley Campbell scored at 87:13 and was assisted by senior Suzanna Wojnowski. 

Lexi Lindamer recorded 3 shots on goal, and Sabrina Suriani recorded 3 saves during the matchup.

The Blue Devils look to bounce back next week against Utica at the 2022 Blue Devils Classic on September 9th, at 3:30 pm.
