MEADVILLE, PA -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team dropped a road contest at Allegheny, 16-5, on Wednesday.
Erin Woods led the Devils with a pair of scores.
After the first quarter, the Gators led 5-0. Fredonia State opened the second half with an early goal from Woods.Â
After five goals by Allegheny, the Devils
Audrey Brown scored to make it a 10-2 contest. Allegheny scored again with 41 seconds remaining in the half. Woods' second goal of the game came eight seconds before the half. The Gators led 11-3 at the break.

Emma Cockerel.
Emily Carr made 10 saves and surrendered 16 goals.
Fredonia State drops to 0-9, and the Gators improve to 7-3.
The Devils play host to Oneonta on Saturday.
