FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State lacrosse team dropped its final game of the season, 16-9, vs. Potsdam on Saturday.
Erin Woods scored a season-high four goals to pace the Devils.
Woods' first goal tied the game 1-1 in the first quarter. Potsdam scored two more goals to take a 3-1 lead in the opening frame.
Julie Culver and Woods each scored goals to close out the half, as Fredonia State found itself trailing, 6-4.
Potsdam scored six of the next seven goals to take command of the game with a 12-5 lead. Both squads scored four goals in the fourth quarter to give the 16-9 final score.
Three Blue Devil seniors were recognized before the game.

Allison Polito, and
Kendall Shearn were all four-year embers of the team.
