CHATHAM, Pa. --- The Fredonia State women's basketball team dropped a 65-56 contest at Chatham College on Saturday afternoon.
Caitlin Snyder put in a solid performance with 21 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Freshman Amber Louis added 10 points off the bench.
The first half was back and forth, with the Devils staking a 13-10 lead after the first quarter. Chatham would muster a 25-23 lead by the half.
The third quarter spelled doom for Fredonia State as they were outscored 27-14, falling behind by 15 points. But they would battle back.
Early in the fourth, Snyder would hit back-to-back jumpers to pull the Devils within six points, 54-48, with seven minutes to play. Snyder scored eight points in the first three minutes of the fourth to aid an 11-2 run to keep Fredonia State close.
Renee Park had a team high five assists, and Laurell Brown added eight rebounds and four assists.
The Devils fall to 2-1, and head to Hilbert College on Tuesday for a non-conference contest.
