FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team won its second-straight game and first SUNYAC game of the season, taking down the visiting Potsdam Bears, 3-1, on Friday evening. The win gives the Devils momentum heading into Saturday's conference matchup with Plattsburgh.
The Devils won the sets by scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-19, and 25-20.
Gabrielle Chilcott and
Amaya Lewczyk led the offense with 13 kills apiece.
Erin Callahan added nine and
Gabrielle Sordetto contributed eight kills.
Kourtney Krchniak had 36 assists and 19 digs.
Elora Sherman added 28 digs, and Sordetto had 23.
Jessica Ader led Potsdam with 11 kills over the four sets. The Bears fall to 1-4 in the SUNYAC and 10-7 overall.
Fredonia State improves to 1-3 and 3-14 overall. The Devils return to Dods Hall on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match vs. Plattsburgh.
