CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team played its second-consecutive, 1-0 overtime contest, but came out on the short end at Case Western Unvversity on Saturday.

The Devils mustered one shot on goal, and only two shots overall -- all coming from the foot of Jackson Retzer. Fredonia State goalie Kyle Pezzulo made six saves and gave up the only score. 

Case's Henry Barnes took a cross in front of the net and found the goal 106:42 into the game. The hosts, now 2-0, held an 18-2 edge in shots, and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. 

"It was a fairly even game in the first half so we felt good going into half time," said head coach P.J. Gondek. "The 2nd half we struggled to posses the ball going forward, so that is an area we will need to clean up. We did play an incredible game defensively against a really good team. Kyle Pezzulo, getting his first ever start in goal, was brilliant."

The Devils (1-1) return home next weekend to play in the annual Blue Devil Classic.
