FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 non-conference game to Nazareth on Tuesday. Neither team had a lot going offensively, combining for eight shots on goal for the evening.
Ryan Fitzgerald opened the scoring for Nazareth with his second goal of the season in the 39th minute. Nazareth gained a 3-0 lead in shots on goal in the first half.
The Golden Flyers doubled their lead in the 76th minute. Jack Pawlika nailed a ball from the top of the goal box to the center of the net.
Logan Menna had two saves for Nazareth, who improved to 7-1-1.
William Ricardson spent the first 82 minutes in goal collecting four saves.
Patrick Logsdon finished the final eight minutes in goal.
The Devils (5-4) will be home this weekend, taking on Cortland on Friday night and Oswego on Saturday.
