BOXSCORE 1 | BOXSCORE 2 FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match to Westminster to open play at the Penn State Behrend Invitational, and finished the evening losing 3-0 to Baldwin Wallace.

Against Westminster, Brinn Shaughnessy exploded for 18 kills, while Christie Ackendorf and Emily Jones added 11 each. Kourtney Kirchniak had 37 assists. 

Defensively, Selena Brown had four blocks and Sierra Keim had 16 digs. 

The Devils won the first set, then dropped the next three, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25, and 16-25.

The Devils struggled in the late game, falling to BW 23-25, 15-25, and 8-25. Jones and Ackendorf each had six kills. Bridget Murphy had service three aces.

The Devils (2-3) are back at Behrend on Saturday when they take on Bluffton and John Carroll at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
