FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State baseball team dropped a doubleheader, 8-5 and 10-5, to the visiting Oswego State Lakers on Tuesday.
The Devils outhit Oswego 8-7 in the opener, but five walks and three homeruns proved to be the difference for the Laker offense.
Johnny Genau and
Tylor Murphy led Fredonia State with a pair of hits.
Sam Cestra suffered the loss, going seven innings and giving up three earned runs.
The Devils only surrendered seven hits in Game 2, but seven walks aided the Laker offense.
Brian Chatt had a pair of hits, including a solo homerun, and drove in three. Kenny Benitez drove in the other two runs.
Ronald Brown took the loss, giving up seven runs over three-and-a-third innings of work.
The Devils are back home with a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday.
