Fredonia State seniors MaryClaire Haseley, Aaron Cember, Ryan Dunning, and Sarah Buckley will compete Saturday in the opening meet of 2021 at SUNY Geneseo
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State track and field teams will join five other schools Saturday for the 2021 SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational. It'll mark the first outdoor meet for the Blue Devils in two years.
The entry lists posted by host Geneseo on the Leone Timing website include 11 women and 10 men from Fredonia State, plus student-athletes from Brockport, Geneseo, Nazareth, and St. John Fisher. The first event is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the last at 6:30 p.m.
Competing for the Fredonia State women will be

Evelyn Smith (100, 200),
Sarah Buckley (400),
Angie Tredo (200, 400),
Ali Dixon (400-meter hurdles),
Morgan Ashton (400-meter hurdles),
MaryClaire Haseley (5,000), and
Eleanor Clarke (hammer throw, shot put, discus). The quartet of Buckley, Ashton, Dixon, and Smith are entered in the 4-by-400 meter relay.

It is the first of seven dates in April on which the Blue Devils will compete in advance of the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet May 7 and May 8 at SUNY Cortland.
