FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Down 29-26 at the half, the Fredonia State women's basketball team came firing out in the second half, scoring the first 21 points of the third quarter en route to a 60-48 victory over Geneseo.
In the decisive third, Geneseo would not score until the 1:28 mark as the Devils outscored them 25-4.
Katie Pitcher (Fulton, N.Y.) recorded a double-double with game-highs with 16 points and 12 boards.
Lauren Mickley (Danville, Ohio) and
Renee Park (Union Springs, N.Y.) both added 14 points apiece, and
Mary Culeton (Oswego, N.Y.) had 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Geneseo was led by Hannah Stockman with 11 points and seven rebounds, and Mackenzie Reigle with 10 points and five assists.
Fredonia State improved to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in SUNYAC play. Geneseo stands at 3-3 and 0-1.
The Devils are back in action Saturday for a SUNYAC contest vs. Cortland. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
