POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Plattsburgh used a pair of goals in the span of three minutes to take down the Fredonia State men's soccer team, 2-1, on Saturday. Christian Garner scored in the 58th minute for the Cardinals, and John Hayes in the 61st minute.

Domenic Monti pulled the Devils to within a goal with a score in the 88th minute with an assist from
Matt Cullen.Â
WIlliam Richardson made five saves for the Devils, who were outshot 12-8. The Devils had three shots on goal. In addition to Monti's score,
Jacob Vallas had a pair of shots on net.
The loss drops the Devils to 1-4 in the SUNYAC and 6-7 overall. Plattsburgh ups its record to 4-7 and 1-4-1 in conference play.Â
