FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State tennis team kept it's ledger perfect, improving to 7-0 with and 8-1 thumping of Thiel on Thursday. The Devils won their three doubles matches each by a score of 8-0.

The sisters Chiacchia, Anna and Jane, won at No. 1 doubles; Sarah Bunk and Mikayla Johnson handled No. 2 doubles; and Taylor Marelli and Avril King owned the third  doubles.

Anna Chiacchia won No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-1. Bunk took the No. 2 slot with 6-3, 6-0 winners. Jane Chiacchia won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3.

Taylor Marelli suffered the Devils' only loss, but took her opponent to the limit, falling 7-6, 6-7, 10-1.

No. 5 singles Avril King won 6-2, 6-0, and Dominique Martello took the No.6 position 6-0, 6-4.

Thiel falls to 2-3 on the year.

The Devils travel to Geneseo on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
